1 semester. Successful completion of Algebra I recommended. May be taken 2 times with a grade of ā€œCā€ or better to advance. Grade level 11-12.

In the first semester, students will be introduced to the plumbing trade through four major plumbing projects: copper pipe installation, fixture installation, drain, waste and vent system installation and testing and troubleshooting. Safety is emphasized throughout the course. In the second semester, students will complete projects in installing PEX tubing systems, drawing system plans based on blueprints, and cutting, threading and installing cast iron and steel pipe. Students will also learn valuable leadership skills as they direct first semester students through some of the more complex parts of their projects.

Second semester student can earn a second certification, Plumbing 1. These certifications can lead a student into a full career as a plumber.

Purchase of safety glasses is required.
