The Travel & Hospitality Management program is an in-depth study of tourism where students gain knowledge and skills for careers in tourism industries. This course examines rich cultures, history, geography and economics. Students will learn how the travel and tourism industry is growing in Alaska and throughout the world. Students build essential skills for travel and hospitality, written and oral communication, customer service, tour leadership, sales and marketing as well as logistics, teambuilding, management and supervisory skills.
Fall semester: Students also learn hotel operations, theory, industry-related vocabulary and computer reservations.
Spring semester: Explore travel industries such as airline, travel by railroad, cruise ships and road trips as well as related career opportunities.
