 Lake Otis Elementary School will provide a highly varied and challenging program of learning experiences. Students will become literate, self-disciplined, independent and confident individuals who take pride in themselves, are life-long learners, effective communicators and make positive contributions in a global society. Our mission is to be a school where staff, parents, students, and the community work together to create and maintain a healthy, nurturing, vital learning environment which supports and develops the human dignity and worth in each of us. We believe that educating children is a shared experience and responsibility, and that adults who are active in the school communicate the high value they place on education. Students are encouraged to develop respect for themselves and others and to become responsible citizens fully capable of exercising their rights to self-determination in a free society.
