Welcome parents, teachers and
students to the 2006-2007 school year at Lake Otis Elementary! I
want to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support of our
school, our programs, and our children. Over the past two years, we've shared
the responsibility for the best education possible for our students. We've
provided a safe and positive school. We've shared the focus for building
character in our children. We have increased our PARENT INVOLVEMENT in our
school!!! We have very dedicated school/business
partnerships. We've held high standards and expectations for all our
students. Lake
Otis Elementary made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) this year for the second
year in a row! Congratulations staff,
students and parents for achieving this instructional goal. We will continue to do our best to provide
an outstanding educational experience for our students. Open
communication between parents and the school has been the key to our
successful school. Modeling mutual respect is perhaps the best lesson we can
provide our youth. Please visit Lake Otis Elementary frequently, take an
active part in our wonderful PTA, and participate in our after school
enrichment activities. There is always
plenty to do when it comes to educating our children and volunteers are
always welcome. I
