Dear Parents,

It was nice that so many of you were able to come to the O'Malley talent show last night.  A big thank you goes out to Grace Kruse for working with the students and for coordinating the event.

Next Friday, May 2, will be the Spring Concert for first and second grade students, and the chorus.  It will also be the night of the O'Malley auction.,  The silent auction preview begins at 5:30 pm, the concert begins at 7:00pm,. and the live auction will begin at 8:45 pm.  I hope to see your there.

Later in May the teachers and I will be meeting to make tentative class placements for next school year.  Parents sometimes ask about requesting a teacher.  We always welcome parents to provide placement information about their children's strengths and needs.  However, requesting a specific teacher is not appropriate.  As principal, I have the responsibility of balancing classes, students' needs, and determining the best placement.  The information that you may provide is certainly an important factor in that decision.  Placement information forms are available in the office.  The deadline to return the form for consideration is Friday, May 9.

The temperature is finally warming up.  I hope that you are all able to get out and enjoy the sunshine.
