Cross Country Ski season begins in January after winter break, and lasts through February. The ski team practices every day from 3:00 to 4:30 after school. We travel to Kincaid once a week for practice, and we ski on the Coastal Trail. If weather permits, we have five competitive meets involving all middle schools, ending with a Championship Race. We practice both classic and skate techniques, and races are designated in one of these techniques.

Romig is well-equipped with ski equipment for those who would like to try cross country skiing, and do not have their own equipment. A physical and $80 fee are required.
