Track and field is the
only spring interscolastic sport, and is open to all boys and
girls at Romig. There are many events which are available for
competition:
Hurdles
100-meter dash
200-meter dash
400- meter run
800-meter run
1600-meter run
400-meter relay
800-meter relay
1600-meter relay
shot put
discus
long jump
triple jump
high jump
There are four dual meets
or tri-meets which in which the team competes in which there is
a spot for everyone on the team. The championships at the end
of the season are for those who qualify to compete against all
the other middle schools in the Anchorage School District. A physical
and $80 activity fee are required for participation.
