The adult Giant Panda weights between 200 and 300 pounds. The average panda is five feet long, males are 10 percent larger than than females. Pandas are excellent climber and very flexible. They have short legs and travel slowly on the ground. Some pandas live for up to 20 years.
The Giant Panda has a unique coloration. Their eyes, ears, and shoulders are black, and the rest of their body is white. These colors act as a camouflage in the bamboo forests. The white and black makes it easy to hide in the white snow. The black fur is said to absorb the heat and the white lets off heat, which makes their body the perfect temperature. Pandas are very solitary animals.
