Why Pandas are endangered:

Giant pandas are moving from high elevations to low elevations because the area of bamboo in which the giant pandas feeds on dies off and forces the panda to go find more in lower elevations. When an area dies, off the whole area dies at the same time. Once an area starts to die, the giant panda cannot stay there for long. Another thing is that they feed on only two kinds of bamboo, which is another major problem.

That means when they are getting into lower elevations, they are moving out of the reserves that are protecting them. And when they are not in their reserves they are in more danger because poachers are most likely to hunt them, and they are moving closer to human civilization.

Some more bad news is that the giant pandas in captivity are extremely hard to breed.

Saving The Pandas:

The Chinese government has banned logging because it was the main threat to the extinction of Giant Pandas. China has also made 33 reserves to protect pandas from poachers and human civilization.

The sad thing is that those pandas living outside of the reserves are hunted, die of hunger, and are in real danger because of the destruction of their habitat.
