To see a wild snow leopard in person would be a very rare experience, although some people have done it. Many wild snow leopards have been captured in the wild and put into a zoo. Snow leopards have been successfully bread, so hopefully the snow leopards status will rise from endangered.
The snow leopard has
a whitish/gray coat with small dark colored rosettes and broken-spot
markings on it's back. These rosettes are spaced farther apart
than those of most leopards and cats. The leopard's belly, chest,
and chin is usually a whiter color then the rest of its fur and
the fur is long and woolly. The snow leopard only molts two times
a year, in the summer and winter. This is the reason their fur
is the way it is.
The cat's eyes are grayish with brown and yellow tints.
An average snow leopard's body length ranges from 900 to 1350 millimeters long and they usually weigh about 50 kilograms.
