Endangerment

The Bengal tiger is a very endangered animal. It is one of the most endangered tiger species in the world. The tiger was poached for its skin and for sport. The other parts of the tiger, such as the bones, fat, and liver are used for medicines for the body. The claws are used to make a necklace for children to protect from the superstition called the "Evil Eye."

In China and Korea, they banned the selling of Bengal tiger products. The skin is worth at least $15,000 and the other parts of the tiger are worth even more.
