A tiger like a Bengal tiger only hunts small prey. Bengal tigers are nocturnal and they only hunt at night. Bengal tigers can only run a short distance with its maximum speed, so instead of chasing the prey all over the place, it stalks its prey in the night until the right time has arrived for it to attack with its fierce claws.
As brave as this tiger can get, it even attacks a porcupine! Bengal tigers never waste their food, so if they don't finish off its prey, it buries the remainder of the animal in leaves with its claws. When the Bengal tiger decides it wants to eat, it will dig up the carcass of the animal and eat it again until it has finished. Bengal tigers don't hunt well, so this is what they will do for food.
Bengal tigers breed in the spring. The mates would most likely mate near his own territory and he would remain with the female Bengal tiger for between 20 and 80 days. The female is fertile only for three through seven days of that period. After the baby cub of the Bengal tiger is born, the male will take no part in the care of the cub and he would return home.
