Bengal tigers live in the mangrove forest of the Sundarbans in east India and Bangladesh. Bengal tigers are found in great numbers here. The Bengal Tigers can be found in Nepal, Burma, and other parts of India.
Bengal Tigers are solitary, which means they don't like to share their space and their hunting grounds with any other Bengal tigers in the area. They want large ranges of land in which they can hunt their prey. The male Bengal tigers take over about twenty square miles of land, so they can hunt. Females mostly take up seventeen square miles of land. Males are usually 400 to 600 pounds and females are about 200 to 300 pounds. Male lengths are 8 feet and 8 inches long and females are 7 feet and 8 inches long. Those have pretty large bodies, which means they have a large appetite, so this could be a reason why they need lots of space.
Sometimes when bad weather hits, the Bengal tigers would go into their dens for shelter. They would usually have several dens to use for emergencies that would occur in parts of the areas that they live. Whichever den is comfortable will be the den the tiger will enter and spend a night there.
