
The moon bears are not very unusual creatures. Their scientific name is Ursus Thibetanus. Moon bears are also known as the Asian black bear. Moon bears are 55 to 65 inches long and 200-255 pounds is the average size of these enormous mammals. Some grow up to 400 pounds. The bears are black in color with white chins. They have been called moon bears for the bright white crescent on their broad chest.
Ursus thibetanus live in many parts of Asia. West Asian forests arethe home of these giants are Iran, Afghanistan, and in Pakistan. Japan and Taiwan are its eastern homes. You could also search for moon bears in the lush forest of Bangladesh, Loas, and in exotic Tibet. I am sure they have many other homes.
The beautiful moon bears are like most bears, they are omnivores. Having to use their amazing strength, powerful moon bears can take humungous bison down. Moon bears are also amazing tree climbers. These great climbers use their skills to get delicious fruit,hard acorns, sweat honey, and crunchy nuts. Berries and insects are also a delicacy. Moon bears are yet another thing: awesome, amazing, and terrific hunters. Sheep, goats, and cattle act as their tasty moresoles. We are sure they have a much larger appetite.
Female moon bears live in warm dens with their cubs. The dens are usually made in old trees or caves. Bears go into hibernation only when they live in cold areas. Reproduction comes along in late fall and early spring. The cubs are born little fur and take about two weeks to have the ability to see. Cubs start weaning at about 3 1/2 months.
