The Bengal Tiger can grow to be about 5 feet 10 inches to 9 feet 1 inch in body length! In addition, the tiger has a 36 inch long tail and can weigh anywhere from 350 to 500 pounds. The length up to their shoulders is normally 3 feet or less, about the size of a toddler. The Bengal tiger has excellent vision with their large eyes and powerful jaws that are lined with large canine teeth. On their heavily padded paws, are retractable claws. The color of Bengal tigers can range anywhere from a bright gray to a reddish tan. A select few of their species are pure white. All Bengal tigers have uneven, sharply marked, black stripes. Each set of stripes is unique to each individual tiger. They have short thick fur, and have long whiskers with individual hairs.
