
Mongolian art started about three to eight thousand years ago with cave paintings found in the Khoid Tsenkher caves. The Mongolian Empire is known to some people as fact and to others as fiction . The Mongol Dynasties capital city, Khar Khorum, was proof that the Mongolian Empire existed. The Mongolian Empire was said to be the first modern art began in the 12th century and later influenced by other countries of the world. During the 16th to early 21st century, many montasaries were built and building design features were of the Buddhist Temple design. One of the most famous sculptor and painter in Mongolia is G. Zanabazar. He was also a religious leader and lived from 1635 to 1739. Paintings in Mongolia are very exquisite and beautiful and perhaps some of the oldest in the world.
