Alaska has always been a place were a lot of resources arefound. Alaska is known as the boom-and-bust state, because ofthe resources that are available here. The reason Alaska is theboom and bust state is because Alaskans find the resources andthen use them up. Some examples of this are the exploitation ofsea animals such as sea otters for the fur and insides, whalesfor the blubber and baleen, fur seals for there fur, and timberfor paper goods (pulp).
