Betty Anne was a newlywed when she first arrived in Alaska. Her first born, Peter, was born in 1954. Peggy was born in 1956 and Therse Marie was born in 1958. Betty has 7 grandchildren. Her grandparents were born in Germany, but she doesn't speak the language. She had a couple cousins how died in World War 11, one at Pearl Harbor.
Betty Anne and her husband built a beautiful home on the Kenai Peninsula and they still drive to Soldotna every weekend to spend time with each other and their family. Betty's husband has not yet joined her at the Pioneer home, he just can't bear to leave their home so soon.
