
Ted Dixon About Ted Dixon: He has lived in the Anchorage Pioneer's Home for a couple of months. He has not lived in Alaska that long. He was born on June 18, 1905 in Ohio. He is 92 years old. Before he came to Alaska, he lived near Los Angeles. He has two sons and one daughter. He came to Anchorage to live with his son who owns a Book Cache. His daughter lives in Massachusetts. His wife has passed away. He has never had any pets.
Things he likes and used to like: He likes any kind of food. He used to play basketball, baseball, and football. He was on the post team in baseball. He does not like music. He doesn't like to fish. He likes the Pioneer's Home, and tells us "It's not that bad."
Exciting Things: He used to work in a coal mine. He never went to college because he quit school in the 8th grade. He was in the army for 20 years and 3 months. He was a Sgt. Major. He lived in Germany for 3 years. He lived in Panama for 2 years. He has also been to Switzerland. He is blind now and has a hard time hearing.
