Gordan's first job was driving a dirt truck. He worked for 50 cents
a day. He didn't have many hobbies, but he really liked cars and loved to
eat junk food. His next job was making dairy products. Growing up, Gordan
had no video games to play, but he loved to watch movies. His favorite movies
are GONE WITH THE WIND
and RainMaker. His favorite actors are Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas, and
Harrison Ford.
Gordan also loves Swing Music, and one of his favorite bands is Benny Goodman.
Getting older, Newton attended L.A. Junior College, and soon enough Gordan
was in the Marine Corps as a radio mechanic in World War II. He spent 1
1/2 years in the South Pacific in Hawaii during World War II.
Shortly after his return from World
War II in 1946 , he married the love of his life who became Louise Newton.
As their marriage developed, they had two children--one daughter who is
today 47 and now lives in Anchorage, Alaska, and one son, 44, who today
lives in Menford, Oregon. Gordan also has 3 grandchildren. Sadly, his wife
died in 1980.
Gordan majored in Art at U.A.A. in Anchorage, Alaska where he now lives.
