Early Life
Grace was born in Austin,Texas
on April 10,1924. She grew up in Texas and went to high school, but she
never went to college. In 1950 she moved to Alaska.. Grace met her husband
on a blind date and later got married in Alaska.They built their own house
when they moved to Alaska--her first job as an Alaskan was as a waitress.
