ALASKA'S OWN PIONEERS' HOME

The Pioneers' Home in Anchorage was built in 1977. In order to use this
facility, you must be an Alaskan resident for one year. The one in Anchorage
has 224 beds available. All offer a wide range of health care and other
services for elderly Alaskans. The Pioneers' Home is owned and operated
by the State of Alaska.
There are six Pioneers' Homes in various locations throughout the state:
- Anchorage
- Sitka
- Fairbanks
- Palmer
- Ketchikan
- Juneau
