Oprah

Oprah is my hero. She touches many lives by helping many people get back on their feet or whatever they need.

Back in 2005 when Hurricane Katrina hit, Oprah donated 10 million dollars, but she also went down to New Orleans to see what everything was like down there for them and to comfort the people and their families so they can feel better knowing someone cares.

On her talk show she helps people that need her help.  She recognizes people that need to be recognized.   In 1971 Oprah worked at a news station in Baltimore.  In 1984, Oprah began her own morning show in Chicago; one month later it was a hit.

Oprah was born January 29,1954 in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Her grandmother raised her because when she was born her parents separated. Later when she was six she moved to go live with her mom. One year later her teenage cousin molested her. When she was 14 she decided to go and live with her father, who was very strict. If Oprah did not learn three new vocabulary words a day her father would not let her eat for several days.

Oprah does amazing stuff for people, so she deserves thanks.
