| We are part of the
Anchorage School District. Robert Service High School is a
two-story, 305,000 square foot school on a 58-acre site located on the
Lower Hillside in
south Anchorage. It is bounded on the north by Far North
Bicentennial Park, east by Hillside Park, west by
Trailside Elementary School, and south by Abbott Road.
It was built in 1971 as a Junior/Senior High School complex. The school began operating solely as a high school in 1984. The school was named after the poet Robert Service. We are a comprehensive four-year public school fully accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools. Approximately 110 faculty members serve a diverse population of over 1700 students. Our students represent a variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
