Fall sports will start in July at South. All students participating in activities will be required to submit fees and the usual participation forms which can be found on the Anchorage School District Website prior to participation.

See these documents: Instructions-overview; Instructions-detailed. / Students may still take the test at school: This year, ASD has adopted a new Concussion Assessment Program mandated by the State of Alaska. Student activity participants will be required to have an assessment done at the time of sign up. The assessment will take 25 minutes at South High in the library. An additional $5.00 fee will be charged for this mandated assessment.
Because of the additional paperwork and assessment, please be prepared to spend a little more time at South then usual when signing up for Fall sports and activities. Thank you in advance for your patience. We look forward to seeing you in the halls of South very soon. Go Wolverines.
ASD Online - MyHigh
Are you juggling a busy schedule, want that additional elective class, or just need a little more flexibility in your life? ASD's online program MyHigh offers several electives as well as original credit classes in most of the core subject areas. Enrollment is now available for all high school students so check with your counselor or visit MyHigh's website for more information. So, take a class…anytime, any place, for any reason… MyHigh

ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION DEVICES
Students are not permitted to use Cell Phones and other Electronic Communication Devices during class time. They may be used ONLY BEFORE/AFTER SCHOOL AND DURING LUNCH.
Parents – please help us by reminding your students of this policy! Cell phones are subject to confiscation and will have to be picked up by parents if they are used at other times.
Parents, if you must call your student’s cell, please do so between 10:30 and 11:00 during our lunch period.

If you are unable to attend during your scheduled time you may come at one of the alternative times. Families having more than one student attending South can bring siblings on the same day! Incoming 9th graders may want to attend on their scheduled day as there will be several stations geared for new high school students.
If you will be out of town on schedule pickup days you need to call the Curriculum Office (742-6257) or Registrar (742-6260) to have the schedule held. All schedules not requested held or not picked up during Registration week will be dropped.
