Career Center Students and Parents
On behalf of the faculty and staff, welcome to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Career Center for the 2006-2007 school year. We sincerely hope your attendance will be a rewarding experience. The King Career Center is proud of its staff and its facilities, and we hope you will be too. So much is offered here, but it is up to you to take advantage of these many opportunities.
Policies and procedures for attendance and behavior are basically the same as your home high school and are outlined in the Anchorage School District SECONDARY STUDENT HANDBOOK. These handbooks can be obtained in the attendance office of your home high school. Procedures that are specific to the King Career Center are described fully in the STUDENT HANDBOOK OF THE KING CAREER CENTER that are distributed early each semester in your King Career Center classroom and available at any time in the main office. You are responsible for the information in both documents.
We know that you will benefit from your King Career Center experience. Please feel free to come into the office if you have any questions. We want to make your year a rewarding one.
