While school is in session, the West Library is open Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM until 3:15 PM.

The mission of the West Library is to support Anchorage School District and Alaska State curriculum and standards; to promote the effective and ethical use of information; and to foster the value and love of reading for West Anchorage High School students, staff, and community members.
Materials are circulated to ASD students, staff, and community members. West High students must have a valid student ID card or other valid picture ID. West High staff need only be registered in our database. Other ASD staff and students may request materials via interlibrary loans at their school library. Community members may register with the library as need airses.
Students may check out up to 3 items for 3 weeks. Items may be renewed once. There is no fine for overdue material. For damaged or lost material students are charged for the replacement cost of that material. Staff have no limits on number or length of checkouts. Staff are responsible for damaged of lost material to the extent allowed by the ASD. Community member follow student guidelines.
