Aleut hunting hats are made out of wood, seal whiskers, ivory, beads, feathers and berry juice. They used the berry juice for the color. They used the hat when they went hunting. The more designs that are on the hat means you are a better hunter. If I where a hunter, I wouldn't be a very good one because I didn't put very many designs on my hat.

1. Cut a long egg shape out of a 12x18 sheet of paper.

2. Cut a 6 inch slit into the fat end of the egg shape .

3. Use a marker , to draw my interpretation of Aleut designs.

4. Slide one side of the cut slit over the other side and staple into place.

5.Add details with found objects.
