The Tlingit Tribe thinks that masks mean the resemblance of a beast or of a human.A mask is also used for covering all of your face. A mask is only worn for a celebration in tribes. A mask is also worn to conceal one's identity.
If you want to see Tlingit masks go to the Alcheringa Gallery.
Tlingits would make baskets for berry picking or for other food and other things. Their baskets were made up of twigs, rushes, thin strips of wood and other materials woven together.

I got these pictures from the National Bank of Alaska'sHeritage Museum.
A basket can also be made up of a thin veneer used for packing berries and vegetables. And the colors of their baskets and clothing were black and red and brown. Basketmakers would draw pictures of animals like bears and wolves on the baskets. Some of the other baskets were woven so tight that they were water proof.
