Books and magazines may be checked out for one week. Books may be checked out during regularly scheduled weekly classes, before and after school, or during open check-out times. Books may be renewed at anytime. Reference materials, such as encyclopedias, are to be used in the library.

Overdue Books

Library books need to be returned to the library in a timely manner. If a student has an overdue book, the book must be returned before any other materials are checked out. If a book is lost, it must be paid for. According to the Anchorage School District policy, $17 is the replacement cost of a hardbound book and $5 is charged for a paperback book. Report cards are held until either the book is returned or paid for. When a book is found, the money is refunded.
