Daily Homework - Students practice every night

Monday - Thursday:
Spelling: Practice your spelling words every night using the method learned in class.
  • Monday night: Write each word 3 times.
  • Tuesday night: Write the words in alphabetical order.
  • Wednesday night: Do the crossword puzzle or word search.
  • Thursday night: Write each word in a sentence.
Math: Practice your math facts and complete a math fact sheet each night at your own speed. Have an adult check your answers.
Reading: Read by yourself or to someone for at least 20 minutes every night. Fill out the Family Reading Log every night and have an adult sign it. If you borrow a book from our class library, bring it back to school the day after you finish reading it so others can check it out.
Cursive Handwriting: Do one letter a night or one side of a sheet of cursive a night, depending on the weekly assignment.
Daily Science Workouts: Do one or two questions each night. These are critical thinking questions and you may need to ask an adult or look the information up in reference books or on the internet.
Daily Analogies: Do one or two analogies each night.

Friday: Bring your homework folder back to school for credit. Enjoy the weekend!
