There are over 12 different types of whales in Alaska.
They include the humpback, orca, grey, right, bowhead, beluga and minke whales.
The Narwhal, as painted by our class in 1999, does not live in Alaska! -
it lives in the waters of eastern Canada and Greenland.
Its tusk resembles a unicorn's horn, but is actually a long tooth that grows out of its head.
Only male narwhals have this long tooth, and some of them grow two.
