Willow Crest P.T.A. Recreational Reading Program
Hi, my name is Terri Zacher and I am the chairperson for the Willow Crest P.T.A. Recreational Reading Program. Our goal is to get students excited about reading. We would like to show you a few of the cool things that are going on at our school!
Reading
Is Fundamental! Through a grant from the National Reading is
Fundamental Organization and with a little help from our PTA, Willow Crest
students receive 3 free books every year.
Book
Fair -We hold 2 Book Fairs a year, both during the Parent-Teacher
Conferences. For each book fair we have Scholastic Books gives our library $200.00
in books. Be sure and stop in!
Annual
Bookmark Contest - Every year during one of our great Read-ins
our
students design their own bookmarks. It's exciting to display these around the
school and show off how talented Willow Crest kids are!
Read-Ins
-We have been fortunate to have had some great guests come by
for our
Read-Ins like the Cat in the Hat . Feel free to come in and read a book with us!
