Here are the steps for making a slide show in Apple Works.

Open Apple Works by double clicking on it. or locate it in the launcher and click once.

Click once on the Drawing option when it comes up. The click OK.

A blank page or slide will appear.

Go up to the menu item "Format"  and select "Document".  Then change where it says pages down to a 10.

Click OK and you should be back to viewing your slides.  But it probably looks like one long slide now.  So go up to view and select "Page view".

Zoom out to get a look at your slides.

Now all you have to do is type in your text and paste in your pictures.

To see your slide show select "Slide Show" from the "View" menu.

To get out of the slide show press Q.
