Fun Page

You will be graded as follows:

Besides the flaming text title and background texture, you must include:

a rollover--the joke shows up all the time and you roll over it and the answer appears
a cute, silly, cool or otherwise interesting picture (school appropriate, of course).
your animation from Anime Studio

Joke instructions:

Create a new photoshop document: 4" wide x 2" high, 72 ppi, RGB color, white background
Using the horizontal type tool ("T" on toolbar), draw a text box and type the first part of your joke. Note: Text is on a separate layer from the background.
Highlight and format the text.
(Optional) You can also use the create warped text tool to create a wave or arc with your text.
Choose the background layer and put in a color fill using the paint bucket tool.
Save it in your website's fun folder, in jpeg format and name it "joke"
Click on the text type tool, highlight your joke and replace it with the punchline. Save it in your website's fun folder, in jpeg format and name it "joke_answer"

Rollover instructions:

Drag a layout grid onto your page
Drag an image icon onto the grid and link to the "joke.jpg"
Go to Window at the top of your screen and select Rollover so the rollover palette appears.
On the palette, click on rollover (on a tab), then click on over and click on the hand icon. Then, link to "joke_answer.jpg" (at the bottom of the rollover palette)
Go to preview and make sure it works.

Animation instructions:

Finish and save your Anime Studio animation
Go to File, Export Animation
Choose:
- Entire Animation
- Output format: Quicktime Movie
- Render Quality: Apply layer effect
Save into the "Fun" folder in your web folder and name it "animation" and the ending ".mov" should automatically show up. (Remember, no spaces!)

Putting your animation on your website:

Open your site and then open your fun page
Make sure your "animation.mov" is in your fun folder (you may need to click "refresh view")
Drag the Quciktime icon from your basic tool palette onto your fun page
Click on the Quicktime icon and link it to your "animation.mov" using your inspector
Go to the Quicktime tab on the inspector and select "autoplay" and "loop"
Go to Preview and make sure that it works
