Gruening Middle School
Catalog Tips  WebCat.gif

Would you like to take a look at what books are in the Gruening Middle School library? You  can do so from any computer that has Internet access!
Are you asking yourself why you would want to do this?
Here are a few reasons:
1. To see if we have a copy of a book you would like to read.
2. To see if a particular book is already checked out.
3. Because you forgot to write down the bibliographic information that you need for a citation.
4. To be able to have the call number in hand when you come to the library so you can go directly to the book on the shelf.

Here are some tips to make things easier:
1.  When it asks for a User ID you have two choices: GR lets you search our library, ASD gives you every library in the Anchorage School District.
2.  Type in what you are looking for, then click on Title, Author, or Subject.
3.  Clicking on Subject will bring back fewer hits than clicking on Search Everything but they will be more relevant to your topic.
4.  If no books come up when you enter your search, try using Search Everything.
5.  If you hit the Enter button instead of clicking, the computer will do a Search Everything.
6.  If you are looking for books by a specific author, type the author's last name, then the first name and click on Author.
