“OVER AND ABOVE”

CONSTITUTION NOTEBOOK STUDY

(Extra credit doesn’t take the place of required assignments--it is “over and above”)

Each of these EXTRA projects are worth from 5-10 points each depending on the effort, neatness, creative thought, and presentation.

_____  1.  Compare and contrast the state preamble with the federal preamble to the

                   Constitution.

_____  2.  Draw a political cartoon illustrating a current event in our state.

_____  3.  What’s Happening?  List 10 political current event issues and tell why

you listed each.  (model this after the Anchorage Daily News editorial section where they put thumbs up!, neutral, thumbs down!)

_____  4.  Track a bill in the state legislature and give the status of the new law.

_____  5.  Political Spectrum:  Choose 10 members of one of the three branches of

state or federal government and plot them on the political spectrum.

Tell why and how you made each decision.
