Over
the next several months, our language arts and social studies classes will be
working together on a research paper. Students will learn the necessary skills
for research and note taking, proper format and organization of the paper,
giving credit to sources, and completing an annotated bibliography. As
evidenced by the accompanying timeline, this project will be the basis of a
good portion of the second quarter’s curriculum. Many grades will count
in both language arts and social studies. The final grade for the paper will be
recorded in the third quarter.
Below
are the guidelines for the research paper. Please feel free to ask for further
clarification whenever necessary. Students are expected to review this information
in detail with their parents.

that I can communicate at any time with Ms. Daniels or Mrs. Collins via e-mail

throughout this process. Please sign and
return this paper no later than Wednesday, Jan. 9th.
