Our Philosophy: At Mirror Lake we ski for fun.
As it turns out, a lot of people who ski for fun get pretty good at it and end up being pretty good skiers. Often some of the best in the city.
The primary goal of our ski team is to introduce Middle School Skiers to the sport of cross country skiing. It is a relatively low impact, life long sport that provides great wintertime recreation right here in our community.
Along the way, we develop skills fundamental to the sport, spend lots of time on the snow, and provide 6 chances to go head to head with the other middle school skiers in the Anchorage School District.
The best part, though, is the people.

Nice sunshine, cool weather, happy skiers and freshly groomed trails made for a great first Race at Kincaid this week!

Call for race start times and for bus arrival estimate on meet days. Give it a call and find out when we plan on arriving back at school after the races. The hotline is updated by 4:45 and will have our ETA, projected as we leave our race venue...
Volunteers Needed NOW!
We are in need of a bunch of volunteers over the next several weeks, but clearly, our greatest need is to get the positions for our Mirror Lake Race filled as soon as we can. Please consider helping with Set-up (Noon -2)
Timing or Course Marshal (1:50-3:30) or Take down (about 30 minutes, right after the race).

There are a lot of other opportunities as well, ranging from ski repair, to shopping, fire tender to ski waxer! We would love to put you to work.
