FEVER
Students who have a temperature of 100 degrees or more, a contagious illness or are not well enough to learn, are not to attend school. It is recommended that students be temperature free without medication for 24 hours before returning to school. If a student becomes sick, or is injured at school, parents will be notified. Parents are encouraged to contact the school nurse and review their child's special health concerns at 742-2185.
Parents or guardian are expected to send in a note with their child to the attendance office with the dates of their child's absence, the reason why and their child's student ID number written on the note to excuse them from their absence. This note is to be placed in the labeled wire basket on the desk in the attendance office.
Students who will be out consecutive days for medical purposes need to have the doctor complete a medical waiver form for the attendance and nurse's office. The nurse's office has these forms available or click the above link and print the form. This form can be faxed when completed to a confidential fax machine in the nurse's office at 742-2127.
