The '08-09 school year is all about change for me. After 12 years of teaching 7th and 8th grade science, I have made the leap to
Family Consumer Science and am very excited. I have a baby boy, Steven Brooks, who keeps my husband and I very busy. Please

The fee for this course is $10. That money helps cover the cost of groceries and basic sewing supplies. Each student will need to bring
in 1 yard of 100% cotton fabric (or a 1/2 yard of 2 different cotton prints), a plain white tube/crew sock, and one bag of poly-fill stuffing.

The primary philosophy of this class is to teach students skills that will help them in their every day lives for the rest of their lives. The
best way for them to get better at these skills is to practice. Each student is required to complete 3 home labs per quarter. Please see
the homework page for a link to a home-lab form. These forms are also available in the classroom.
