EAST HIGH’S FINE ARTS DEPARTMENT  is dedicated to advancing the understanding of art and its relationship to the human experience.

    East High offers a wide range of visual art classes designed to build on past art experiences. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a curriculum that will prepare them for post secondary art and create an environment to foster their further interest in the arts.

    The current course offerings include. Art Studio , Painting, Pottery, Jewelry , Multimedia design and Other courses available dependent on student interest are Sculpture, Printmaking and Advanced Placement  Art.

The two instructors at East have over 50 years of combined experience in  education. They are active in the local art community and produce work outside of the school day. The goal of our instructors at East  High is to build on a students previous art experiences, prepare them for post secondary art education and allow for student exploration. It is our belief the a strong arts background is integral to the development of academically strong and productive citizens.
