VIP Folders

Our class uses blue VIP folders that travel back and forth between home and school daily.  You will find homework and graded work inside!  This is a great place to put school communication, lunch money, school store money, etc...  These folders are checked daily!

Dear Family Letters

Each day we write a “Dear Family” letter to let you know something about our day!  The Dear Family notebook is kept inside your child’s VIP folder.  Please initial it each night!  Please feel free to use this notebook to communicate a message to me, reminder message to your child, etc....  

Homework

Math homework is given each night, Monday through Thursday.  The homework is a reinforcement of what we did in math class that day.  Students receive a Decision Dollar for turning in homework on time the following day!

Reading Logs

Reading Logs are due each Friday.  This is an important part of your child’s reading program!  We are learning to make connections to our reading.  The reading log really helps to build these skills.  The more children read, the better readers they become! :)
