Hello, I look forward to another fun year at Dimond. The Applied Tech class is in its sixth year and is being taught by a new addition to Dimond, Mr. Vaugn. We have a fabrication lab and 32 computers. Using robotics as core content it will focus on problem solving and design. Lot's of hands on stuff!. Basic 1 and 2 are in their fifth year. Computer Science 1 and 2 (although students are still enrolled in Pascal 1 and 2 for the purposes of the sms) is in its fourth year. CS students should be prepared to take the AP Computer Science Test after their second semester. This course uses the Java programming language. Spring semester we now have an engineering class after school during 7th hour. It is called Automated Systems and we hope it will be a pilot for our engineering academy.
