ASD One Place and Discovery Streaming

When you go to the ASD One Place, you will be asked for an id and password:

• Default id: asd-lastname_firstname
• Default password: check with your local tech person

After you have logged in, you will be able to search for resources from a number of different places. Perhaps the most interesting for most is Discovery Education Streaming, the top choice.

Note: if you created an account at some point in an earlier life, that information is still valid. If you can't remember it, follow the instructions on the Discovery site that will e-mail you your information. Site: http://www.discoveryeducation.com/ [This link will also take you to Discovery Streaming when you are outside the district firewall. Your login should still work. You should not use this at school, because the downloads are not as efficient and they tie up district bandwidth.]

To get started, log in with the instructions above, then:

• type something like 'polar bears' into the Universal Search
• put a check mark next to Discovery Education Streaming
• click Go

Click on the Search Items Found and check them out.

When you click on a movie, it takes you to the Discovery Streaming site and one of your options is to manage your account. If you click on My Account (upper right corner), you will be given a screen to change your password. You must also enter your

• Title
• Country
• State
• and I'd enter a security question

before you click OK.
