All five of the
computer labs are currently being reserved through a web-based application over
the internet. At this point it is only
accessible within the district firewall, meaning that you must use it from an
ASD computer or through a VPN at home.
The address
is somgt01/login.php You will need your ID and password (to be obtained from Pete
or Jan). This is NOT your ASD e-mail
name and password. The password shows up
on the screen when you type it in and is not very secure. The IDs and passwords are not case-sensitive. Once you have reached the Choose Calendar
page, if you make a bookmark to it, you will not need to log in again.
Once logged in, I
hope that it is relatively straight-forward.
You should first check that it is the proper week. It is left wherever the last teacher left it.
When it asks for the date, enter just
the Day number that is in the box. Do
not enter a month. You may enter a day for any of the three weeks that show up.
As soon as you click ‘Go’ and your name
shows up in the box, the process is complete.
You do not need to save anything.
Note that there is an option to delete your name. If you are not going to use the lab, please
‘un-reserve’ yourself so that others can use it.
Please remember
that our convention is that you may sign up for three sessions for any given
period at a time. If you wish to use the
lab for four days for a given class, wait until you have completed the first
session, then quick sign up for the next available slot.
Multiple people
can be logged onto these pages at the same time, but if someone else reserves a
spot while you are looking at it and then you click refresh, you will suddenly
see their name appear.
