Upgrading from Firefox 2.0 to Firefox 3.0 on the Macs
Evidently, there is sometimes problems in converting an account from Firefox 2.0 to 3.0 on the Macintosh computers bound to our district's network accounts. The following appears to fix the problem.
- Log into your district account
- Open the Macintosh HD and click on your name on the left (with the House icon)
- Open the Library folder
- Open the Application Support folder
- Delete the Firefox folder found within it.
- Return to the Library folder
- Open the Caches folder
- Delete the Firefox folder found within it.
Return to the desktop and try running Firefox again. You may import bookmarks from Safari if you wish.
