Biology Course Description |
| Biology is the study of life. In this course, students will examine the properties of living organisms, including cellular organization, reproduction, metabolism, homeostasis, heredity, growth and development, as well as current hot topics in the news. Students will work independently and in small groups to examine, investigate, and analyze data collected in order to improve critical thinking and problem solving skills. Biology focuses on how living things function, adapt, and change as well as the relationship between science, technology, and society. Students should expect approximately 20 minutes of homework 3 times per week. |

| Forensic Science Course Description | |
Forensic Science is truly a multidisciplinary course, in that it includes biology, chemistry, zoology, anatomy, genetics, physics, medicine, math and statistics, Earth science, sociology, psychology, communications and laws. It is activity-driven and inquiry-based and sharpens observation skills, deductive reasoning and analytical thinking. |
