Dates and times

Summer school classes will run for six weeks, Monday through Friday, June 8 - July 17. There will be no school on Friday, July 3. The sessions will run from 9:00 am  – noon. There is no afternoon session.

Cost

The cost is $85.00 per session of either Reading/Writing or Mathematics. Financial assistance is available to those in need. Please contact your school principal for details. There will be no refunds of summer school fees (unless classes are cancelled due to low enrollment).

Applications

• Completed registration forms may be returned to your child's school office.
• Applications will not be processed without a signed teacher referral form along with payment or fee waiver.

Parent Involvement

Parent involvement is valued and welcomed at summer school. Parents are welcome to volunteer at summer school and to visit our program. We will offer workshops designed to help parents help their students with math computation and concepts. Information about these workshops will be sent home with students on the first day of summer school.

Locations

Sites were chosen to provide geographic diversity in order to allow as many children as possible to take advantage of this opportunity.

Transportation

Transportation will not be provided for summer school with the exception of transportation for students who attended Title I funded schools in 2008-2009. Transportation for these students only will be from their home school site to the nearest summer school site and back to the home school site.

For all other students, transportation is the responsibility of the parent/guardian. 

Meals

Food Services will provide breakfast and lunch at Chinook, Russian Jack and William Tyson. Breakfast will start at 8:30, lunch will start at noon.
