2008 Middle School Passport to Summer Learning

Looking for a low cost trip you can take without even leaving Anchorage? Customize a "travel itinerary" by mixing and matching various options that are available through the Middle School Passport to Summer Learning program. Make sure you get first class seats, a non-stop flight, and a destination near you: Begich, Gruening, Hanshew, and Romig. Let your counselor be your travel agent and help you create an itinerary that suits you and your family. One size does not fit all!

		The Middle School Passport to Summer Learning will be offered at Begich, Gruening, Hanshew, and Romig middle schools.
		Each site offers program activities for students needing to brush up on basic skills in reading, writing, and math. Enrichment intensives are also offered at each site.
		Make your reservations early. Program offerings are based upon minimum enrollment and cancellations can occur.
		There will be no program activities on Friday, July 4. Enjoy the 3-day weekend!
		Fee waivers are available to help defray the cost of registration.
		Getting to the summer program is the responsibility of the students and the parents. A limited number of People Mover passes will be available. Complete the fee waiver area on the application to request consideration for this opportunity.
		Breakfast and lunch will be made available to any student attending both morning and afternoon sessions. (Gruening has limited services.) Free and reduced-price meal status continues into the summer.
